Lesson Notes for November 17, 2024 – Acts 26

16 11 2024

We need to be prepared to share our "Christ story" and the gospel with those who don’t know Jesus. Sharing is incomplete unless we lovingly and respectfully ask for a response. It can be intimidating but we will consider how to prepare and relieve some of that tension. Here are the notes for our study in Acts 26.

Do you know anyone who struggles with commitment? In a world of many choices and the fear of missing out on something, some people tend to only decide if they are able to change their minds later. What does it mean to be truly committed to Christ? We’ll learn about that in Acts 20 tomorrow. Here are the notes.

There was a lot going on in our text tomorrow from Acts 19. Miracles from God, dark demonic practices from Satan, false teachers with selfish motives, and an amazing VICTORY as Jesus defeated evil and dramatically changed lives forever. Here are our notes.

Do you enjoy working in partnership with others or are you more of a loner? Life as followers of Christ is not meant to be lived alone but in partnership with our brothers and sisters in Christ. Tomorrow we’ll see some good examples of that in Acts 18. Here are the notes for our study.

How do we reach people who think they don’t NEED Jesus? Like the Apostle Paul speaking to the philosophers on Mars Hill, we must be willing to adjust our approach while never changing the gospel message. Here are our notes for our study in Act 17.

They used to say that a Timex watch "takes a licking and keeps on ticking!" That could certainly be said about the Apostle Paul during his missionary journeys to spread the gospel of Jesus and establish the first churches. In our study of Acts 14 we see that and how we can apply it to our own life of sharing our faith. Here are the notes.

It can be tempting to think that only servants like pastors, evangelists, and missionaries are "set apart" for serving God’s purposes. The fact is every Christ-follower has been uniquely equipped to play a role in God’s purposes and plans. Tomorrow we will see how the first missionary effort in the church has an application for how each Christ-follower is "set apart" for service. Here are the notes for our study in Acts 13.

Lesson Notes for August 18, 2024 – Acts 10

We have all known the pain of feeling like you don’t belong. Whether it’s in a new neighborhood, a new school, a new job, it’s hard until you feel included. The good news about the good news of the gospel is that Christ died for everyone and God shows no favoritism in offering salvation for all who trust Him. Acts 10 documents for us a major pivot for the early church in embracing that truth. Here are the notes for our study.
